Recobrimento radicular unilateral: relato de caso

Abstract

A busca por um sorriso esteticamente perfeito tem se intensificado globalmente, refletindo a crescente importância atribuída à estética dentária. No interim, esse fenômeno tem levado a um aumento nas queixas de retração gengival, uma condição que não apenas compromete a aparência dos dentes, mas também está associada a desconfortos funcionais, como a sensibilidade dentária. A retração gengival, ou recessão gengival, é definida como a migração do tecido gengival para apical, expondo a superfície radicular do dente, e pode afetar tanto um único dente quanto múltiplos dentes. O presente trabalho tem por objetivo relatar um caso clínico no qual foi utilizada a técnica cirúrgica de recobrimento radicular com biomaterial de membrana de colágeno absorvível associado a enxerto ósseo sintético no elemento 31, destacando a metodologia aplicada e os resultados obtidos. Paciente S.O.M., 50 anos, gênero feminino, leucoderma, compareceu à clínica integrada do curso de Odontologia da Faculdade do Amazonas – IAES queixando-se de sensibilidade dentária. Após diagnóstico de retração gengival unitária tipo 2 (RT2) no elemento 31, foi planejada uma cirurgia de recobrimento radicular com membrana de colágeno absorvível e enxerto ósseo sintético. Conclui-se que, através da aplicação da técnica cirúrgica de recobrimento radicular com o uso combinado de membrana de colágeno absorvível e enxerto ósseo sintético no elemento 31, foi possível obter resultados satisfatórios em termos de melhora da condição clínica e estética do paciente. A metodologia aplicada demonstrou ser viável e segura, resultando em uma cicatrização adequada e ausência de complicações no pós-operatório imediato.
